Core Yoga Disciplines
The practice at Ignite One centers on three primary styles, each offering unique physiological and spiritual benefits:
Hatha Yoga: The Foundation of Alignment

Hatha yoga focuses on the body’s physical structure to alleviate stress and strengthen both the mind and body. By mastering classical postures (asanas), practitioners develop health and vitality while preparing for meditation.
- Integrated Approach: Classes combine postural alignment, powerful breathing techniques, and dynamic movements.
- Customized Flow: Instruction is tailored to individual capabilities, guiding both beginners and experienced practitioners into their personal flow.
- Key Benefits: Includes decreased stress, regulated metabolism, improved flexibility, and enhanced concentration.
All classes are adapted to the student’s individual abilities and experience level.

Kundalini Yoga: The Yoga of Awareness

Also known as the “Yoga of Awareness and Transformation,” Kundalini yoga utilizes breath, movement, and meditation to maintain spinal health and fortify the nervous and glandular systems.
- Subtle Technology: The practice emphasizes pranayama (breathwork), mantras, and kriyas (structured sequences) to tap into the body’s subtle energies.
- Holistic Change: It facilitates transformation on physical, emotional, and spiritual levels, promoting deep rejuvenation and inner radiance.
- Safety: The practice is safe and structured, designed to instill inner calm and greater self-awareness.
While all yoga styles stimulate Kundalini energy, Kundalini Yoga as taught by Yogi Bhajan is a safe, structured practice designed to cultivate inner calm, vitality, and radiance.
Private classes and small group instruction are available.
Hatha vs. Kundalini Yoga
Hatha Yoga
Hatha yoga is the physical branch of the yoga tradition. It focuses on body alignment, breath, and movement to reduce stress while building strength, flexibility, and balance.
Through the practice of asanas (yogic postures), Hatha yoga helps cultivate health and vitality, preparing the body and mind for meditation. Regular practice can help reduce stress, regulate metabolism, and support overall physical well-being.
Students often leave class feeling more connected to their bodies, with improved flexibility, strength, relaxation, focus, and a deeper sense of overall wellness.
Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini Yoga combines breathwork, yogic postures, meditation, and mantra to support a healthy spine and strengthen the nervous and glandular systems.
This practice goes beyond physical movement, helping to facilitate transformation on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level. Often called the yoga of awareness, Kundalini Yoga nurtures the connection between mind, body, and spirit, promoting clarity, calm, and inner balance.
